Advanced Technology, User Simplicity

KJET adapters are simple - providing plug-n-play interfaces, wide temperature measurement ranges, supporting maintenance-free operation without field calibration - and with protection for surge, reverse polarity and ground faults.

This adapter line is available for applications in new and retrofit system designs and provides instant process signal interfaces for the low level signals that are produced from K, J, E or T type thermocouples. The supplied thermocouple plug provides the matching metallic connection supporting the adapters cold junction ambient temperature compensation.

Connect two thermocouple wires to one end of a K, J, E or T type adapter. The active measurement is compensated by an extremely stable low drift cold (ambient) junction amplifier system referenced to the ice point of water. The compensated micro-volt signal is then converted for two-wire 4-20mA directly representing the active junction temperature. KJET adapters consume ~500uW - and operate universally with nearly all controllers providing unregulated 5-30 volt DC excitation. Thermocouple wires are connected using supplied ANSI mini-plug, with a two-wire screw terminal plug for the process signal. The adapter package incorporates surface mount flanges - and at 45 grams, can be float mounted in-line.

This application highlights one of many uses of KJET series thermocouple adapters for plant temperature measurements. The application shown is supported by a single Florite 994 Intelligent Integrated Instrument System. Two temperatures and a fluid flow rate into a boiler are measured to calculate the heat energy consumption in tons per hour - all while another liquid temperature is measured as it exits a cryogenic super-cooler - with all measurements being logged with date-time-stamp for future valuation.

Local & Remote Control

Our wide range of PID controllers start at just $250.00, and comes with standard functions such as manual and serial batch control, dual totalizer and rate meter, digital and analog inputs and outputs, local and remote operation and reporting!

This control type is commonly used to control Scalar variables such as temperature or position, or to maintain a constant process rate. The input port is set for a non-zero “Ctrl Amount” which is the control target that the system is required to achieve. This control type is more commonly chosen with a continuously variable analog output required to maintain the control target. The response of this control function is determined by the “Rate/Value Filter” of the input port, programmable over a +0 to -20dbHz range, used to adjust the PID response to the controlled process bandwidth.
